To say Jeremy Horn is “just a fighter” would be a major understatement.

The man is the epitome of what a fighter should be: A no-excuses guy who fights whomever, whenever.

We’ve all heard the stories about Horn driving from a fight in Illinois on to one in Indiana the next night, not for the money, but because he loved to fight and that’s where he had to go to do it.

Horn competed in his one hundred and tenth professional sanctioned MMA bout this weekend, defeating Brian Warren by arm triangle and improving his staggering record to 86-19-5. Although his current tally pales in comparison to Travis Fulton’s 198-46-11 and 1NC, in terms of quantity, the quality of wins “Gumby” has notched over guys like Chuck Liddell, Vernon White, Gilbert Yvel, Forrest Griffin, Dean Lister, David Loiseau, Chael Sonnen and Trevor Prangley and decision losses he notched against Randy Couture, Ricardo Arona, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Renato Sobral, Anderson Silva, are what distinguish Horn as an MMA legend and pioneer. The video above is a highlight reel of Horn’s October 9, 2000 Rings: King of Kings 2000 fight with former UFC 205 and 225-pound champion, Couture, who even as a heavyweight couldn’t finish off the resilient natural middleweight submission specialist.
