Paddy Pimblett Questions Movsar Evloev’s Heart After Alexander Volkanovski’s UFC 333 TKO Win
Paddy Pimblett has labelled former UFC title challenger Movsar Evloev as a quitter.
This past weekend, Evloev tasted defeat for the first time in his professional MMA career. The 32-year-old was knocked out by current and two-time featherweight titleholder Alexander Volkanovski in the main event of UFC 333.
In Round 2, Evloev got stunned by the Aussie and backed toward the fence. Once the fight went to the ground, Volkanovski unleashed heavy ground-and-pound from top mount. Evloev barely moved and appeared badly hurt and dazed, prompting the referee to stop the fight at the 4:54 mark of R2.
Pimblett believes that with just a few seconds left in the second stanza, Movsar Evloev could have tried to survive by just moving instead of covering up and doing nothing. Not happy with the Russian fighter’s performance, “The Baddy,” while rewatching the title bout quipped:
“Movsar quit there for me, like. Just rolled over. When there’s five seconds left, you just got to keep moving… You can’t start just covering up.”

Movsar Evloev’s Immediate Reaction After UFC 333 TKO Loss
Movsar Evloev was heartbroken after being knocked out by “The Great” at UFC 333. However, the Russian was gracious in defeat and admitted in his post-fight octagon interview that he is not the best right now. He also praised Alexander Volkanovski, saying that even at 38, the Aussie remains the best and that he does not mind losing to one of the finest fighters in the sport.
“It was a terrible fight [from my end]. He’s like good wine. Older, stronger, better. He’s truly a legend. He’s still good, and I am grateful for this opportunity to be here.”
“I did not prove that I am the best. I am not yet, maybe alright. Maybe we will try again… Alex is a great champion, and I am glad to be here to share the cage with him. It’s better to lose to a great guy like him than to lose to [somebody else].”
